Quality Engineer & Quality Technicians

We are a Multi-branch Mississauga based Tier 1 automotive metal stamping plant currently looking for a Quality Engineer and Quality Technicians on a Full time basis.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing PPAP layouts
• Preparing First-Off, Last-Off and final inspection on production run.
• Generate Internal Non-conforming reports
• Perform department audits (Inspect weekly checklist)
• Participate in APQP as required
• Provide operating training
• Assist Quality Manager in 8D process
• May be required to travel to customers facilities
• Prepare all necessary quality and production documentation
• Perform TS16949 internal audits
• Special projects as required

Qualifications / Experience

• CQE/CQT preferred
• GDT
• 4 years plus experience in an automotive metal stamping company
• Blueprint reading skills
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to use basic metrology measurement instruments
• Certified TS16949 auditor certification an asset

Production Planner

Mississauga based automotive parts manufacturer requires an experienced Production / Material planner

Duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to

• Sufficient experience and knowledge to plan production requirement based on customer demand.
• Work with engineering, planning, and other personnel to exchange information regarding inventories, schedules, and launching new products.
• Analyze and maintain inventory levels
• Sufficient experience to manage outside processing vendors
• Schedule raw material with suppliers through EDI
• Responsible for maintaining and adjusting inventory requirements based on past history.
• Able to work in a team environment

To qualify as a successful candidate, you will have:

• Post-Secondary education
• 5+ years of production planning and purchasing experience- direct experience within automotive manufacturing
• Experience in a stamping environment would be an asset
• A minimum of 5 years in material planning and Purchasing
• Strong computer skills Excel, Word PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
• Ability to work in a fast paced & changing automotive environment
• Experience in the ERP/MRP software (CMS software knowledge is an asset).
• CPIM certification is an asset

Cost Estimator

DESCRIPTION

Experienced Cost Estimator with design experience for metal stamping company

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         The Position duties will include, but not limited to:

·         Must have Progressive and Auto transfer Die Knowledge

·         Must be able to work with sales and engineering team

·         Ability to create a strip layout for progressive dies & Four Slide

·         Ability to provide detail tooling cost

·         Read, review and approve blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates

·         Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and data

·         must be proficient in GD& T

·         Use computer software to calculate estimates (including CAD software)

·         Collaborate with engineers, customers, and contractors on estimates

·         Perform other duties as assigned

·         Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials and labour expenses

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Qualifications we are looking for include, but are not limited to:

·         Diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade experience

·         5 years of cost estimating experience in Metal Stamping Industry

·         Excellent computer skills in SOLID WORKS, VISI 21, Auto cad and KEY CREATOR

·         Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft office

·         Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications

·         Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability

·         Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

·         Demonstrated ability to function both independently and with good judgment in a team environment

Shipper/ Receiver

Shipper/Receiver sends, accepts and records the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from the company. Shipper/Receiver performs the following duties:
• Determine method of shipment and prepare bills, invoices and other shipping documents.
• Assemble containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions.
• Loading and unloading of goods from trucks, etc.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
• Unpack and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
• Know proper shipping procedures for transportation of materials including dangerous goods.
• Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport.
• Maintain record keeping systems.
• Know safe storage and handling procedures for various goods and chemicals.
• Licensed to operate forklift
• Knowledge of customs requirements and documentation is a must
• Other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
• CMS / Solar soft knowledge is an asset

Order Picker

JOB DESCRIPTION: Order Picker
REPORTS TO:  Warehouse Manager
OBJECTIVE:
The order picker is responsible for filling in customer orders and delivering them to the shipping location in a manner that meets Commercial Spring & Tool Ltd standards, for safety, security, effective productivity. The order picker is accountable to ensure that all customer orders are filled and accurate to Commercial Spring & Tool standards.
ORDER PICKERING:
 Effectively pick customer orders for shipment as well as ensuring that the correct number of material/products are loaded and shipped to destination. Create master labels, use RF scanner, and computers to perform duties.  Transport orders to shipping location with material handling equipment. Tag or mark orders as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ensure that inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damages.
• Operate a forklift reach truck and other electrical equipment in high performance of order filling duties when required on a daily basis.
• Ensure that average inventory and cycle counts are done accurately when required.
• Maintain a neat and clean and safe working environment at all times. Assist in maintaining security of warehouse, Comply with WHIMS, MSDS, and OHSA standards at all times.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of order picker experience and must have a valid forklift license.
• Attend all safety trainings and ensure that competency requirements are met. As well as excellent organizational skills, and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent reading and writing in English.
• Experience with computers, RF Scanners, and label making.
